At Mosselberg on Grotto Beach we strive in quality & service excellence.
Our Chef, Mariette van den Bergh, brings this to our guests through her food. She prefers to keep her dishes simple yet elegant, using only the freshest
produce, sourced locally, and paring the best suited wines from local farms such as Ataraxia, Creation & Wildekrans, to name a few.
Her passion for food comes from years of watching, learning & creating simple little dishes with family & friends, which is noticable in the dishes she
presents to our guests. Style & flair describes it best with amazing taste – one ingredient complimenting the next.
“There is no greater pleasure than presenting my guests with a mind-blowing meal. I want my dishes to literally explode with flavour! I enjoy surprising
guests with new, innovative & fresh ideas and thus spend hours in the kitchen testing, tasting & pairing. What I do, I do with passion.”
Mariette worked in the industry for a few years before heading off to Warwick's Chef School here in Hermanus, to graduate in 2010.
