About us
Mosselberg on Grotto Beach is a luxurious 5 star guesthouse with spectacular views of the majestic Mosselberg mountains and the Blue Flag Grotto Beach in Hermanus.
From June to November you can see the Southern Right whales from your bedroom!
Designed by an award-winning architect, Mosselberg guesthouse has a pool and a huge deck on the sea side. The honeymoon suite has a spectacular view of the
bay, and each room has its own entrance, a sea-facing balcony and an option of a king-size or 2 single beds. The rooms are luxuriously appointed with a bar fridge,
coffee kitchenette, safe, T.V., under floor heating, fans, and full en suite bathrooms with twin basins and heated towel rails. Your room will be serviced every
morning.
Superb continental and English breakfasts are served on the deck or on the veranda around the pool. Children are welcome and there are sleeper couches available in
the bedrooms. For the more energetic there is access to a mountain bike trail, fantastic walks and scenic hikes on the beach, in the Fernkloof Nature Reserve or
along the cliff path. Mosselberg is also conveniently located 4.5km from the Hermanus Golf course and 24km from Arabella. You can also watch the whales from your
bedroom or the lounge. Relax in the heated pool or on the deck overlooking Walker Bay. Play board games and pool in the games room or read a book in one of the
lounges on the large verandas.
Breakfast is served between 08h30 and 10h00, and we cater for vegetarians, vegans etc. Check out time is 11h30. You may leave your luggage in a locked store until
later if you wish. Your children are welcome at Mosselberg, but please at all times exercise consideration for the other guests - they are here for peace & quiet.
Unsupervised children are not allowed in the pool (or near the pool - we accept no responsibility for them!), at the breakfast buffet, or in the kitchen.
Mosselberg has a full liquor license and you have an honesty bar in your room and there is one in the lounge. Ice is supplied every evening, but available on request
at any other time. We have a good selection of Walker Bay Wines available - give them a try!
